Goddess Parvati then performed intense penance and won Lord Shiva’s attention. Lord Kartikeya was born from the sparks of Shiva’s third eye, thus becoming the commander of the Devas’ army. Due to this unique birth, he is also known as “Kumara,” which means “the eternal youth.”

Lord Kartikeya is usually depicted as a young, handsome warrior riding a peacock and wielding various weapons. He is often shown with six heads and twelve hands, symbolizing his divine wisdom and power. His mount, the peacock, symbolizes his mastery over pride and ego.
